| Lemon Bay bay is 7 miles long and varies in width from 1/2 mile to 1.2 mile. •Its watershed encompasses 73 miles of diverse aquatic biology. •The average depth is 6 feet at the mean high water. •Seven creeks flow into the Lemon bay. •It is an estuary where salt water and fresh water mix to nurture many important species of fish, crustaceans and shellfish. • Tidal exchange with the Gulf of Mexico occurs primarily at Stump Pass and Gasparilla Pass |

reopens renovated boat ramp. In the spring, the park will have the city of Punta Gorda's first public marina - a 7,100-square-foot building with restrooms, showers and community room. Its 85-slip marina will have 68 floating and 17 fixed docks. The park has beautiful views of Charlotte Harbor, a gazebo, nature trail, picnic area and a Veterans Memorial.
